“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
About Played with Heart
I've had the idea for played with heart for quite a while now, buta;ldkjfs;. The idea behind Played with Heart came to me a few years ago when I was cleaning out my closet before I went off to college. I never really realized just how many golf shirts I had, and all the ones I don’t even wear. At every junior golf tournament I played in, the entry package always included a brand new golf shirt and hat. I played a lot of tournaments growing up, so you can imagine how many golf shirts and hats I accumulated over the years! Now that I’m in college, I never wear any of my junior golf stuff anymore, but I know that somewhere out there, there's a girl (plenty of girls) who would love to have a new outfit to play golf in. I wanted to do something with all of these shirts and hats, so I began looking for places to donate them. The more I thought about it, I didn’t want to limit this to just golf.
My family has always been heavily involved in sports, so sports have always been a huge part of my life. But playing collegiate golf at TCU has really revealed to me the impact sports have had on my life and the incredible world of opportunities they can lead to. If it wasn’t for golf, I wouldn’t be at TCU. Golf has gotten me a college scholarship to receive an education, it has allowed me to travel to some of the coolest places, and it has brought me some of my very best friends. Above all, golf is a platform on which I can use my gifts to glorify God.
The name Played with Heart resides from Colossians 3:23-24 which says, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” I've always believed in working really hard and playing with a lot of heart. God has gifted each and every one of us with various talents and passions, and it is what gifts to us and what we do with our talents and passions are our gift back to God. I have been so blessed with the opportunity to play golf, and I want to use what I have been given to help give other girls have the opportunity to play sports as well.
